A brief summary of your experience:
Upon graduation from The Psychology School of Professional Psychology, MA Forensic Psychology, I went right into the prison system, where I really learned about trauma. I have worked in a State Forensic Hospital where I had the privilege to work with individuals with severe mental illness. I find a special spot in my heart for those who are suffering from Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health, this is because there has been a trauma, and this brought me into Community Mental Health for approx 10yrs.
What made you get into this field?
My fascination with mental health and the law, how they intertwine
What do you love most about your job?
Having the privilege to work with those who have been abandoned, abused, carry difficult diagnoses to help them manage to live the best life they want!!!!!
What do you like most about Calusa?
The intimate family feeling when you walk in the door!!! The client’s really drew me to Calusa, getting back into working with those struggling. I really do find it a privilege to work with such a population, it fills my heart and I am forever learning from these individuals.
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy training my pup, the beach is my soul, anything outside!! I am a movie and true crime fan. I enjoy being challanged, yes, I do find this fun!!!
