Credentials: LMHC, MCAP
Work Experience:
I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University three years ago and began working at the David Lawrence Center. There I was a Clinician and Supervisor working with adults with substance use disorders. I also currently run a permanent living facility for adults with mental illnesses.
What Made You Go Into This Field? Previous internship working in a prison and seeing people get released with no substance use treatment. Also, a family member struggling with substance use.
What Do You Love Most About Your Job? I love seeing the light come back into those while obtaining sobriety. Being able to help people see their worth during their most vulnerable times. Continuing to break the stigma of substance use and mental illness.
What Do You Like Most About Calusa Recovery? Calusa is a warm, welcoming, and positive environment to work in. All of my co-workers want to be here and have a passion for helping those in need. Calusa also wants to bring many different pathways and approaches to those in recovery because not each path to recovery is the same.
What Do You Do for Fun? For fun, I enjoy going to The Keys to go scuba diving, swimming with sharks and looking at different fish and coral. I enjoy hanging out with friends and traveling to see family.
